Going to the beach is a favorite activity for many students on a hot summer day! In Purple, students will become familiar with the color word purple through a story about purple items that can be found at the beach. Detailed photographs and repetitive text support early emergent readers. In addition to working on decoding skills, students will have the opportunity to compare and contrast as well as to visualize to better understand the text.
